ELSA gains further recognition after winning the Gold Quill Award of Excellence for the successful communication management of the In-School Youth Engagement Program.
The Gold Quill Awards, given annually by the International Association of Business Communicators, recognizes exemplary work and excellence in communications. Out of more than 170 entries, ELSA's youth engagement program was one of the 36 recipients of the Award of Excellence. This is the second award for ELSA's youth engagement program after winning the Anvil Award of Merit last February 2007.
The Gold Quill was awarded last March 16, 2007 at the PICC Forum, Manila. Receiving the award for ELSA were Mr. Aivan Amit of USAID- Office of Education, Ms. Sravani Ghosh Robinson of the International Youth Foundation, and Ms. Marie Sol Delantar of Ayala Foundation.
ELSA's In-School Youth Engagement Program, spearheaded by Ayala Foundation, develops the leadership potential of high school student leaders in Mindanao through leadership camps, interfaith dialogues, and community project management trainings.
